NAMI Fairbanks shapes the local public policy landscape for people with mental illness and their loved ones by networking and coordinating with local groups on common issues. Members are encouraged to serve on local mental health committees and boards, voicing their experience and knowledge to advocate for people experiencing psychiatric disabilities.
